Traditional metal braces are what most people think of when orthodontic treatment comes to mind. This method uses metal brackets, bands, and wires to move your teeth into their correct positions. You’ll come in every few weeks to make sure your treatment is on course and to get your braces tightened by your dentist.

Keeping your teeth clean while wearing braces is similar to your usual oral hygiene routine. It’s also wise to replace your toothbrush more often than you normally would. Flossing is different because it requires a special tool to thread the dental floss around your braces.
